I got a job at Infinity Ward!

I am so happy to announce that I have accepted a full-time Senior Animator position at Infinity Ward, the video game company that brings you Call of Duty!  This new position requires that my family and I move to the Los Angeles area which we are in the process of now.  It has always been a dream of mine to animate characters in the entertainment industry.  So excited to get started, I will try to keep this blog updated with stories about my time out in LA LA land.

Yay!

Video Game Animation Tests

Lately I've been trying to get some more video game animation work, like I did on "Ghostbusters: The Video Game" and a few companies have asked me to create some animation tests for them. Below are the results of those test which were all created in the past 6 weeks from this posting.

Soldier
I had two weeks to make this soldier run for cover while being shot at and then turn to shoot, only to get shot and killed.  Kinda morbid, but fun to do. :)

Hero
I was asked to animate this character to take two steps, jump and then land with an attack.  I spent about 12 hours total on this one.

Animals
These rigs were not provided by the company but can be found on highend3d.  I was aksed to do a run cycle and a jog cycle, as well as two jumps from a standing position.  I was also told not to animate the face too much as the job doesn't require it.  Each animation took on average 4 hours to complete.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Cinematics

I never did get around to posting some of my work from Ghostbusters: The Video Game.  Better late than never!  Here are a couple of the cinematics I worked on.  All animation created by me except Pete Venkman.
